I went down to the crossroads, ‘cause I’ve got a soul to sell But ain’t nobody’s buyin’, not from here to hell. I’ll let you hug me if you promise not to love me, I’ve said I love you enough, And I’ll let you kiss me if you promise not to miss me, When I call your bluff. So I went on down that lonely canyon road, With one hand on the wheel and one for you to hold and one for you to hold.

Bonnie baby, don’t you make them eyes at me. See I’ve been thinking lately I wanna live a life that’s clean My legs weren’t made for running’ they were made for livin’ free And just because you say it’s so don’t mean it mean a thing. But please don’t go I won’t And do say I told you so I won’t The Sherif said it’s run or be dead and that’s why I hit the road. Clyde my honey, I’ll give you one last chance. I love you hun but if you run I’ll shoot you were you stand. My legs weren’t made for running they were made for magazines and my face wasn’t made for bars or chains it was made for the silver screen.  But don’t go I won’t And do say I told you so I won’t My Mama said I’d bleed and I bled, I should have stayed at home. Don’t go I won’t And do say I told you so I won’t My Mama said I’d bleed and I've bled, but at least I’m not alone  My Mama said I’d bleed and I’ve bled, but at least I’m not alone

Understate and over country, the interstate’s got all my money But my conscience is grinding away, and the time has come my friends. Cause the Devil don’t rest his head when I do And I know he don’t tap his feet to the same things I tap my feet to. The Devil don’t rest his head I should know  Cause my Mama’s on her knees every night eternally toe to toe. Brother not who’s not my brother, one has over taken the other But forgive those who claim the grove, or have not met their fathers. Cause the Devil don’t rest his head when I do And I know he don’t tap his feet to the same things I tap my feet to. The Devil don’t rest his head I should know  Cause my Mama’s on her knees every night eternally toe to toe. Signed my soul and payed my brother, kissed my Mom and left my lover  My pack feels lighter as it’s slung over, I’m off to meet my Father. Cause the Devil don’t rest his head when I do And I know he don’t tap his feet to the same things I tap my feet to. The Devil don’t rest his head I should know  Cause my Mama’s on her knees every night eternally toe to toe.

Mary-O 04:48
Mary-O oh Mary-O, I’m sorry for this you know. I never meant to make your daughter cry. I did my best, I played my part, and in the end she stole my heart and left me here singing oh Mary-O. Don’t you hide a single freckle kid no don’t you dare.  So all the stars up in heaven couldn’t resist just one kiss   and thats why they are there And I don’t think I, will ever get that look off of my mind The Sun just don’t dance like it did when street lamps told us to come inside. Mary-O oh Mary-O, I’m sorry for this you know. I never meant to make your daughter cry. I did my best, I played my part, and in the end she stole my heart and left me here singing oh Mary-O. Somebody thought that the devil ain’t good at what he does. Well he was, oh he was, yes he was. And I never knew she could kill me like she done well she does, oh she does, yes she does.  Mary-O oh Mary-O, I’m sorry for this you know. I never meant to make your daughter cry. I did my best, I played my part, and in the end she stole my heart and left me here singing oh Mary-O.

Jill & Jack 03:24
Ol’ Jill and Jack must know how we feel, Lyin’ sprawled out at the bottom of a hill. Going tumbling after each other almost getting killed chasing after some sort of thrill, Cause saying it never felt real. There’s some kind of mountain on the North side of town, I climb to the top and turn back around. Listening for a voice or some sort of sound, telling me not to come down. I ain’t never wanna be found.  Boys in poison ivy gloom. Girls in pearls are growing up too soon. I’m weeping and i’m wailing crying why me Lord, I guess you can’t understand what you can’t afford The circus is giving a main street parade, a procession of ghosts trying not to fade away. And poor old Pop is begging his kids to behave, “If your Mama was still around, she wouldn’t want to see you actin this way” I’m starting to see her whenever I dream.  But still things are moving a little too fast for me. A kiss on the mouth seems a little too free, How ‘bout a walk by the water, and I’ll save up for a ring. Boys in poison ivy gloom. Girls in pearls are growing up too soon. I’m weeping and i’m wailing crying why me Lord, I guess you can’t understand what you can’t afford
